Cappa C&M were engaged to repair structural defects in the brick-arched culvert at Coledale. The works included confined space access, structural brick stitching using Helifix bars, and reinstatement of concrete and mortar to stabilise the culvert walls. The scope involved stitching defective brickwork with stainless steel Helifix bars, reinstating structural voids using HB40 high-performance repair mortar, and applying new concrete finishes in a tight access confined space environment. All work was conducted under a five-day programme with full environmental and safety controls in place.
